"The Lord called her "Scout." She has lived a momentous life in this journey of faith. She has met and known people at nearly all levels of our culture, from corporate presidents to street people; from ex-cons to vagabonds; from straights to gays; and from pastors, evangelists, the prophetically gifted, and God's goodly saints to wolves-in-sheep's clothing.
In Israel, she encountered truth-seeking Jews and Muslims, as well as a [hair raising] radical Muslim or two. She has visited virtually every flavor of church that calls itself Christian, tasting many and finding some sickening, others barely palatable, and still others delicious in the Lord.
She began studying prophecy and the prophetic books of the Holy Bible from a young age, but missed [the deep personal study of] the gospels and letters of the New Testament until much later in life. This early lack of scriptural foundation led to much sin and error in her life, the causes and solutions for which are shared in this book as she shares her journey of faith to bless and encourage you, and to bring truth seekers increased understanding of the true things of God."

During a long season in which she served as Administrator and Director of a Christian non-profit, she created, wrote, co-edited and published an ongoing inspirational newsletter for over eleven years, the inspiration for which arose from an eye-opening Faith Walk taken with a longtime friend and prayer partner (see Chapter 10 in the book to read about their adventures in faith during the Faith Walk).
During that same long season, she also had ongoing opportunities to speak to many individuals - including pastors, heads of ministries and others - concerning the state of their faith and the condition of the corporate Church. Those visits and discussions sharpened her understanding and discern-ment of what God was and is doing within His Church, as well as how people respond to what God is doing. That newsletter reflected those understandings, in order to help build up the faith of others individually and the body of Christ (i.e., the corporate Church) collectively. That newsletter's readership gradually expanded across the country and even into Canada. The ministry basis scripture of that non-profit corporation's work and its newsletter was Ephesians 4: 11-16 and 17-25. Her interest in the spiritual health of the corporate Church (i.e., the body of Christ) continues to this day.
